Found in Boston, not as impressed with these ones.
When they're not crunchy, they have a pretty powdery crunch. Salsa isn't great, tastes pretty cheap and not very strong. Luckily I bought a nice cheese dip to go with it :)

The odd, amazing and INSANE crisps I've discovered from around the world...

Pop chips - nacho cheese tortilla 'Thats Nacho Cheese' Found in Boston. Pop chips attack Tortilla chips. They're pretty thick, and have an ok crunch, the flavouring is a little cheap but good, similar to supermarket brand cheesy puffs but with a nice subtle tangy paprika kick. Awesome with a cheese dip! (If you're ever in america stock up on this cheese dip it's bloody amazing) 7/10 Found in Boston. Woah! These are packed full of flavour, Pop Chips never cease to amaze me. Another massive success in the taste department. A good amount of spice (i'd say medium-hot by Nandos standards) and a really full flavour including green bell pepper, parsley, garlic, onion & green onion. Packs a good punch and is a really tasty addition to the range, unfortunately only available in the US of A. 8.5/10 TGI Fridays - Mozzarella Sticks Found in Boston airport. We had a bit of the TGI Fridays range in the UK but it was unbelievably short lived. So I'm pretty happy to stumble across them here! They are puffed corn, similar to wot sits but double the length. Flavouring is good and not too overdone. Nice and cheesy, probably more flavoursome than actual mozzarella. I'm licking my fingers and ogling the bottom of the packet for more, that's a good sign. 8/10 Pretty cheap cheese balls from big german supermarket chain Edeka. Lives up to its name in the cheap department, although tesco's cheese balls are pretty damn good... these are not so much! They have the crunch right, but there's something pretty chemically about the flavour (not that tesco's ones are that far removed but this makes you feel that there's something pretty wrong about them.) 4/10 |
