KP - Mega Meanies Pickled Onion

Another KP snack from Ireland that I don't understand why it hasn't made it over the water.

I love the classic design of the KP crisps. These are pretty good tangy puffed corn crisps. The only reason I can think of for them not being in England is that people just preferred Monster Munch pickled onion - as these crisps are one and the same.

The crisps are shaped liked monster claws, the pickled onion is perfected and exactly you'd expect.

Found in Dublin, Ireland.

Gold standard are apparently a "special treat for crisp connoisseurs".

Cooked in a rich buttery sunflower oil but inconsistent in crunch. Some have perfect crunch and some feel a little stale. They're quite thin and oily but have a little bit of skin on some.

The cheddar is not as strong as I'd hoped but the spring onion brings out a more intense flavour with an oniony tang. Could probably do with a hit more salt and a little less sugar.

A disappointing 3/10

Looking at the back you'd think these were skips. Also made by KP with the same design.

They're pretty cheap puffed wheat, with excellent bacon flavouring. A nice smoky salty bacon taste but that cheap crisp feel to them. Similar to those cheap bacon crisps that you get in pubs that you want to be Frazzles
