“I put a spell on you, cos you’re mine…” I’m not sure if Screamin’ Jay Hawkins was referring to Voodoo Kettle crisps or the crisps to Screamin’ Jay, either way, this hoodoo paraphernalia has me under its spell.

There was no inkling to what the flavour might be (oh the mystery) but on first taste they were utterly hypnotic. Strong full tomato flavour with notes of sweet BBQ, chilli and dragons breathe. Not quite slap yo mama hot, but getting there. 

What we have here folks is some Voodoo papillae dark magic.

Another JACKED test flavour from Doritos.

This time it's not luminous and a more healthy looking crisp all round.

The flavour touches on spice, an indian curry spice - but it's not hot at all, just warming. Indian an american way. I swear I can taste ranch dressing in there!

There's a sweetness to these, it's like citrus but a sweet one - it seems that orange is definitely a highlight in these.

The result is pretty tasty!

I've been curious about the Doritos test flavours since I saw them come up on Chip review. You're basically supposed to guess the flavour.

Being part of the JACKED range, the flavour and colouring is REALLY EXTREME. So I was prepared to open the packet up to a luminous red crisp.

I can taste a few things in here, very obviously is a good amount of spice, a peppery scotch bonnet cayenne pepper type of spice. Secondly, creamy sour cream, and thirdly extra mature cheddar. These are all pretty clear. It's pretty tasty, as well as a little too extreme, you need to like your spice.

Merry Christmas crisp lovers!!!

Hope you've had an excellently crispalicious year, and here's to another year of treats of the crunchy variety.

To celebrate the festive season, here's a little treat for you from the states courtesy of Chip Review.

You may remember a couple of months back, that I got sent the new sweet range from Pringles, they got a lot of press due to some pretty interesting flavours. SEE HERE.

With that in mind - allow me to introduce white chocolate peppermint. Not quite sure what these are supposed to portray as i've never heard of a peppermint candy cane made out of white chocolate! Still, they're pretty interesting.. in a kind of 'wow that's disgusting but it tastes like it should' way.

It's a white chocolate version of the mint choc ones. They're disgusting but a hell of a novelty.. and heck they do taste like white chocolate and peppermint.. so well done I guess??

Still, they're a 2/10 all the way to the bank, and a 7/10 for novelty value.

Another present from Chip Review in the states.

These certainly ain't natural, but I guess that's not what you'd expect from Pringles.

What you have is a pretty excellent taste explosion, consisting of sweet tomato, tangy onion and a light chili kick. They're definitely not here to burn you at all, personally I wouldn't label them very spicy at all but I do like very spicy crisps.

It says limited time only on the pack, but I see a lot of good reason to keep them in the range, and even introduce them over here.

Found in Harvest, Dalston. Imported from the US.

Big thick tortilla style dipping chips. Really nice 3 seed crisps with the perfect shape and rigidity for dipping. They're made from Maize, Chia seeds, Flax seed & black sesame seeds. 

They have a very similar consistency to corn tortillas. The flavour here is pretty kick ass. They get a massive thumbs up from me. The curry flavouring is hot, but the sweet mango flavouring makes it go down a treat. After taste is full and warm. Not in a chili way, but a really flavoursome garlic-onion way. Really reccomend these if you can get your hands on them.

Toxic coloured Doritos that are really heavy on the flavouring. Chilli has a big old kick and the lime is really tangy. It's the Chilli has ripped you open and the lime gets slathered over to make the burn really sting.

Good for chilli lovers, bad for your health.

Damn! These babies are hot! but sooooo good.

Excellent kettle style crisps, with a hard crunch and good thickness. A good amount of oil without being too greasy.

Flavouring is extreme and extremely tasty. Mango is nice and sweet, which is separate from the very hot habanero. They are burning me, but the pack is going quickly. It's a good burn with a sweet aftertaste. Such a great mixture of flavours. 

For people who like their spice - RECOMMENDED. 8/10.

Nice name, boring crisp.

Probably really great for dipping, but otherwise a pretty dull flavour. The Sweetness of the potato is pretty subtle and there's only the tiniest bit of salt on them.

Without a dip: 3/10, with might take it up to a 6/10
