"Because We Give a Chip!"
Found in New York, New York.
And what a slogan! Deep river snacks hit the kettle cooked market hard, and hard is exactly what they are. these crisp give excellent crunch.
It's great when you come across a crisp that has such amazing crunch without being caked in oil. These are dry enough, without being over dry. The flavour is super oniony and super sweet.
So might say a little too sweet, but on this Autumnal day cooped up inside - these are going down a treat. A large bag of these would probably make me yak, but what a great crunch from this snack-attack.
Wowee is this a good time to be alive or what?!!
Not only have I discovered that my local newsagents in Stamford Hill sell my favourite crisps of all time - erdnuss flips (peanut butter wotsits) but they also stock a variation!!!
Yes that's right - peanutty wotsits with mexican vibezzzzzzz. Peanutty amazingness with a sharp tangy salsa. Kinda good, kinda strange.
But mostly good. If you see erdnuss flips on the shelf - shove them in your face, if you've overdosed - mix it up with a bit of chilli - then hit the peanut again and hard. It's a recipe for success.
*please note that although they were found in London - these are German.
Found in France.
When I found these I literally thought they were going to be the best thing since sliced potato.
My favourite crisps are flips - essentially peanut butter wotsits.. but I absolutely love the crunch and texture of nik-naks. So combining these could be the best thing in the world.
The flavouring here is what lets it down, peanut crisps need to be pretty greasy to work, these are just way too dry, the crisp way too flaky.
Such a shame.

Crisps for peanut addicts.... Yes please!!! As you all know, my favourite crisps of all time are Erdnuss flips. Peanutty goodness embodied.
Well these are they! Only they have a different feel to the wotsit-like variety I'm so in love with, they are thick with an awesome crunch, and are overflowing with peanut butter... A real peanut lovers fantasy..

Deep ridged crunch
First off I'm just tasting ranch not a lot of jalepeno in the equation. They aren't spicy but I can taste the flavour of jalepeno. The flavouring isn't evenly distributed which is a problem so often in modern crisp making. I just got one obviously over flavoured crisp and am hit by jalepeno flavouring, but it's ok. If the flavouring was more evenly distributed then these would be interesting crisps, overall it's a good Ranch..
Found in Bahrain, but from the Philippines.
Well no surprises here! They're pretty disgusting!!
At first taste, you could forgive them for putting a sweet sugary cereal into a crisp packet and trying to sell them as crisps. But then the lingering taste sets in, not only was the crunch cheap and plastic sounding - the milk flavouring is exactly that.. like these puffed snacks have been coated in powdered milk.
So, so wrong. No matter how much water i'm drinking.. it's not going away. Somebody save me!
Found in Bahrain, from the Philippines..
Exciting cover! Looks fun.. great for kids. Not great for kids health! These have an extremely toxic coating cheese-like substance.. that is just vomtastic.
There's a weird canderel type sweetness to it that just makes me want to set them on fire.
The texture is like slightly crunchy polystyrene packing, the flavouring is awful.
Found in Budapest, Hungary.
Our old favourite Pom Bear! Only not the flavour we know... These are Sour Cream & Paprika.
For the country famous for its paprika, I couldn't be here without trying some paprika flavoured crisps! An excellent tang with a little sweetness- the perfect paprika. These have the added bonus of the creaminess of not-so-sour cream.
Found in Prague, Czech Republic.
The classiest of late night snacks found around the world. Never underestimate the popularity of kebabs.. they are EVERYWHERE.
They've even found their way into crisps and WOW are these underwhelming! The crisp is thin with little crunch. The flavouring is half hearted. A slightly smokey beefy powder litters the potato graveyard in this pack.
Rub Rub Rubbish.
