Pombear - Sour Cream & Paprika

Found in Budapest, Hungary.

Our old favourite Pom Bear! Only not the flavour we know... These are Sour Cream & Paprika.

For the country famous for its paprika, I couldn't be here without trying some paprika flavoured crisps! An excellent tang with a little sweetness- the perfect paprika. These have the added bonus of the creaminess of not-so-sour cream.

Delish!

Kessel Chips - Roasted Bacon

Funny Frisch you sexy beast you. Delivering me bacon excellence in the form of a crisp.

These came from Austria and the German makers have done bacon proud.

I love my bacon full flavoured, smoky and salty. Kessel chips evoke this and more, the crunch is so big like a well done rasher. The smokiness is intense and smooth. The salt levels just right, and a truly addictive flavour the crisps are thin but strong and have great . Fully recommended and approved by the nation of the crisp.

RW Garcia Dippers - Curry & Mango

Found in Harvest, Dalston. Imported from the US.

Big thick tortilla style dipping chips. Really nice 3 seed crisps with the perfect shape and rigidity for dipping. They're made from Maize, Chia seeds, Flax seed & black sesame seeds.

They have a very similar consistency to corn tortillas. The flavour here is pretty kick ass. They get a massive thumbs up from me. The curry flavouring is hot, but the sweet mango flavouring makes it go down a treat. After taste is full and warm. Not in a chili way, but a really flavoursome garlic-onion way. Really reccomend these if you can get your hands on them.

Pringles - Dill Pickle

Another extreme flavour from the US of A.

Courtesy of Chip Review.

Dill pickle is a big flavour in the US, there's hundreds of different versions of it. I'm pretty shocked it's taken me this much time to try it out for myself!

So here's Pringles version for my first taste, and an overwhelming sourness hits me. It's a sour pickled gherkin in crisp form, mixed with a slight sweetness, just like I like my pickled gherkins. I'm not sure if I like them though. It's an odd taste and is taking a while to set in. 5 minutes along the line, i'm trying to work and just can't stop delving in. The tangy crisp has me coming back for more. Salt levels are very high as you'd expect from anything pickled. My mouth has watered up and my tongue is going mad. I'm really digging this. Something very different, now that Pringles are bringing some of the more unusual american flavours over here - i'd like to see this one on the menu!

Lays - Receita Camponesa

Found in Portugal.

Apparently it translates to 'Peasant Recipe' ?!?!

Lay's and Walkers being one and the same, you know exactly what you're going to get here, just as if you bought a Big Mac anywhere in the world - it would always taste the same, even though the ingredients are sourced from completely different climates.

Really liking this flavour, it's rich but not extreme. Sweet tomato garnished with salty garlic and a touch of coriander. These would make an excellent bolognese sauce!

Whole pack devoured in 4 minutes, solo. 8/10

Doritos - Mega Queso

Found these in Cartagena, Colombian Doritos.

Thought these would be exactly the same as our tangy cheese, but they're actually a little different.

Very similar but the cheese tastes a more creamy and quite sweet. They have the usual Doritos quality crunch and a silly amount of flavouring that's SOO good but SOO bad for you.

Really moreish, they went down a treat!

'Sabor a Alitas De Pollo Picante' Otherwise known as Buffalo Wings.

These are some seriously spicy hot wings! The Cayenne pepper is strong with these ones. Ya'll know about the crunch and texture of pringles, these are no different. The flavour is real intense. Real spicy. Real Buffalo hot wings. I just need a blue cheese dip to complete them/ cool my mouth down!

Woop! 9/10

Kettle Chips - Krinkle Cut Buffalo Bleu

These were also found in San Francisco.

I love the greasy American classic of spicy Buffalo wings dipped in blue cheese sauce, it really is a massive guilty pleasure that I have to have every time I visit the states. I'm wasn't so sure of how that would translate into a crisp.

These kind of have hints of each flavour but in a real subtle way. The spice is at a good level, the blue cheese sauce is there, and it works.. looking back at a pack I got from Japan the blue cheese can translate quite nicely into crisps. SEE HERE.

The McCoys style crunch is perfect and the flavouring amount just right.

A nice BBQ-ey spice with a subtle undertone of blue cheese. Real nice.

Found in San Francisco.

Super great crunch from these babies. Low oil but maximum crunch with the perfect thickness. BBQ with an excellent tang. Crisps are unsurprisingly similar to Kettle chips.

Sweet BBQ flavouring with a nice deep spice to it, really like these.

Doritos - JACKED Smoky Chipotle BBQ

These were kindly supplied by chip review in the US of A.

And i'm glad I opened these ones today! Some seriously tasty goodness.

Jacked are a little thicker than normal Doritos, which I don't think is really a good thing. Doritos have a good thickness and don't need any more. As usual with the doritos brand, flavouring looks pretty toxic, but that's what i've come to expect, they are full of flavour.

These are VERY smoky, which works.. a sweet BBQ flavouring topped with a deep chipotle aftertaste, the mexican favourite chili pepper, it's a real deep flavour probably made that way by the smokiness. The chili spice doesn't hurt but really gives the overall flavour so much taste, anything else straight after these will taste like nothing.

Would get a higher mark if they were a nor

Yummers. 8/10
