The Cornish Crisp Company - Salt & Black Pepper

Salt & Pepper done well.

Proceeds from these go to HFC (Hall for Cornwall.)

This is a calm pepper, not overbearing as some pepper crisps can be. Cornish crisp certainly use a good potato that's fresh and full of flavour - and perfect for frying! the crisp is a good thickness with a good crunch.

Flavour levels are perfected. Really happy with these.

The Cornish Crisp Company - Salt & Vinegar

Cornish Crisp Company go for another classic.

These promote Ashes & Sparks, Clean Cornwall and Surfers Against Sewage.

First off you get a tang that you're not sure if is good or not, the vinegar here is quite sour. But after a couple of mouthfuls I am actually really enjoying them.

Sure the vinegar is intense, so you have to really be wanting salt and vinegar, but if that's what you're craving - it hits the spot.

The potato is great and the crunch is awesome. Some crisps have some skin on and they seem like a pretty natural crisp.

A classic done well by Cornish crisp company.

This flavour is dedicated to Ashes & Sparks and Clean Cornwall. Good guys.

Awesome crunch, oil levels good - some a little oily. Salt levels perfect. Tasty potato.

All round makes a good classic.

The Cornish Crisp Company - Cornish Pasty

I like the sound of The Cornish Crisp Company.

Every flavour of crisp is dedicated to a different cornish cause (this packet is to preserve the cornish mines.) So they're off to a good start for  being nice people.

It's not quite what I was hoping for in a cornish pasty crisp. I'm a massive meat eater and my pasty will always be full to the bring with succulent meat...

Saying that, they have capture the rest of the cornish pasty. The onions and most importantly the pastry (how can it taste like pastry??!)

The crisp has excellent crunch and thickness, they're not overly oily or dry and their salt levels are perfect.

I like them, I just think they need to bring out a 'non-vegetarian' version!

Jack Pots - Lightly Salted

So my flatmate is a bit of a salted crisp-fiend, in fact she doesn't like a single crisp if it's flavoured (I know I know, what a massive weirdo.)

She scoffed these down before I could get a taste, so i'm going to have to go on her word, which is probably a good thing as she's such a salted crisp lover.

Apparently they're of the same quality as kettle chips, the right amount of oil, crispiness and salt content. The bag was gone in 10 minutes.

Enough said I think.

Mackie's - Sea Salt

Mackie's really do make the driest crisps ever made.

These would give the 'see how many jacobs crackers you can eat without water' game a run for it's money. I'd be pretty impressed if anyone can get through this whole pack without some liquid.

The Salt content is actually ok and tastes good. But the crisps are just too dry, and have the odd crisp that's been left in too long and leave a burnt taste in your mouth.
