Manomasa - Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper

Another in the amazing Manomasa range and something a bit more plain.

But sometimes you need that for a good dip, I've combined them with fresh pesto, humous & sweet red pepper and it's working for me.

Personally I like my black pepper strong and these could do with a lot more.. But as dipping apparatus- they're perfect.

Salt & Pepper done well.

Proceeds from these go to HFC (Hall for Cornwall.)

This is a calm pepper, not overbearing as some pepper crisps can be. Cornish crisp certainly use a good potato that's fresh and full of flavour - and perfect for frying! the crisp is a good thickness with a good crunch.

Flavour levels are perfected. Really happy with these.

Pop Chips - Salt & Pepper

Yes Yes YES. Pop Chips ace it again. Totally blown away by this brand.

I've spoken before about the amazingness of the actual crisp here.

But Salt & Pepper is my first foray into their flavourings. A really strong & Intense pepper, the pop chips has a nice visible sprinkling of cracked black pepper on it and the right amount of salt. Really moreish.. these packets i've been sent are definitely not going to last long.

For a strong pepper taste that is more tangy than spicy, and a great different crunch, get your lips around these.

Boxer Chips - Crackpot Pepper & Salty Salt

So these ones are quite heavy on the pepper. Some people like this, some people don't. Today i'm liking it, but it definitely has a kick to it that stays in your mouth for a good while.

The pepper is much more of a bitter English one as a pose to the sweeter Indian. Salt is a good amount, but from these you mostly get pepper, a lot of pepper.

Still a good crunchy crisp, but maybe a bit too extreme for most.

mmmm! These are goodens...

Its not the spicy british pepper we know, this indian pepper has a strangely sweet taste to it. Really interesting flavour that I wasn't expecting.

Pipers' crunch is perfect. The potato is good. This is definitely a lick your fingers type flavour, which is rare for black pepper crisps as they're normally overly flavoured and overly spicy.

My favourite black pepper so far.

Just Crisps - Sea Salt & Black Pepper

These crisps have the weirdest colour to them, they're like dark oak crisps... But made of potato.
Extremely thin crisps with limited crunch to them. Very intense black pepper flavouring, which today i like- but on other days these might be a bit on the extreme side.

'Subtle Pepper'

Black Pepper crisps I find are usually way overdone - you're left with a burning mouth from too much pepper, but in fairfields case - they've used the exact amount. Still a nice peppery tang, but not overloaded.

This is my first try of the fairfield range and i'm pretty happy with the crunch you get from them, not overly greasy but a good solid crunch.
