Nim’s Orange and Melon Fruit Crisps sound interesting, smell horrendous and look very much like potpourri. I was hoping that the similarity to the dried plant and fruit material commonly used to fragrance the homes of the elderly would be just a visual one, unfortunately for my now dying taste buds these ‘crisps’ which incidentally are not even crisp – taste a lot like a handful of dusty old potpourri. Rarely have I sampled anything claiming to be food that is this inedible. I don’t believe for a second that anyone including the manufacturers would say that they enjoy eating these fruit crisps- some might endure eating them for the presumable health benefits of air-dried crisps made entirely of orange and melon. The tag line of ‘Fruit Re-invented’ should be changed to ‘Fruit Made Infinitely Less Tasty Than When Consumed In Its Fresh Original State’ – a little less catchy perhaps, but much more honest. Avoid!
