Walkers - Hot Dog with Tomato Ketchup

Another in the 'Do us a flavour' range from Walkers.

This time it's hot dog with tomato ketchup, as disgusting as that might sound to some, it's not actually that bad. If you like tomato flavoured crisps.. or prawn cocktail (that has nothing to do with prawns and everything to do with a sweet tomato flavouring) then you'll like these.

They're not that far off prawn cocktail if i'm honest, maybe a smidgen less sugar. These are suitable for vegetarians - so there really isn't any hot dog to do with them. Still, i'm not sure a sausage-y crisp would be that nice.. If they said these were ketchup flavour.. you would not be surprised.

Just had a pack of these. You're bob on that if someone said these were just Ketchup flavour crisps then you wouldn't hear many people argue with you. But I'm not any old person, I'm a man who knows his potato chips and there is definitely a distinct flavour of frankfurter in here, or bang of bockwurst if you will. It's subtle but evident. Alas its that subtlety that lets it down for me. I like my sausage strong (said the actress to the bishop) and although I understand Walkers were pushing the Vale of Evesham tomatoes angle for this flavour I felt fobbed off that the hot dog part was basically an afterthought. Not bad but could do better. 6.5/10

I found these to be completely vile. Had to throw the packet in the bin - and I am a crisp obsessive!
